What Is Oxicat?
Oxicat (also written as oxycat or oxy-cat) is the AUTOPROFI OXICAT Oxygen Sensor & Catalytic Converter Cleaner — a 250 ml fuel-tank additive engineered in Germany by CTP GmbH (part of the bluechemGROUP). It uses a decarbonizing chemistry that activates inside the exhaust path once the catalytic converter reaches its proper working temperature.
With regular use, OXICAT is designed to dissolve soot, carbon, and noxious residue that build up over thousands of miles in the catalytic converter, oxygen (lambda) sensors, turbocharger-related exhaust paths, and other emissions-related components. It is suitable for both gasoline and diesel vehicles when used as directed.
A short, important reset: OXICAT is a preventive maintenance product, not a repair product. If a catalytic converter is melted or physically destroyed, or if a sensor has failed mechanically, the vehicle needs a workshop, not a can. OXICAT is built for the period before things get that far — to keep the system cleaner so problems are less likely to develop.
The Product
One can. 250 ml. Designed to be poured into a near-empty fuel tank.
What’s in the can
- 250 ml — one tank treatment — pours straight into the fuel tank
- Decarbonizing chemistry — activates at catalytic-converter working temperature
- Gasoline + Diesel — one product across most passenger and light-duty vehicles
- Capless gas-fuel filler included — works with newer capless filler-neck designs
How to use it
Pour a full can into a near-empty fuel tank, then refill with fuel and drive long enough for the catalytic converter to reach proper operating temperature — a steady highway run rather than a short cold trip. The product activates as the cat heats up.
Repeat as part of routine maintenance — for example, before an emissions inspection, after extended city or short-trip driving, or every several thousand miles for older vehicles. Always follow the directions printed on the can.
How OXICAT Works
A four-step preventive routine — engineered to work under real driving conditions.
Pour into the fuel tank
Empty the can into a near-empty tank, then refill with fuel as you normally would.
Drive until the cat warms up
A steady highway-style drive lets the catalytic converter reach its proper working temperature — short cold trips are not enough.
The chemistry activates
OXICAT’s decarbonizing formula starts dissolving soot and carbon throughout the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and exhaust path.
Repeat as preventive maintenance
Use periodically — before emissions tests, after city-heavy driving, or every several thousand miles on older vehicles.
Why working temperature matters
Catalytic converters and oxygen sensors only operate effectively above a fairly high threshold temperature. OXICAT’s chemistry is built around that reality — it’s designed to activate when the system is hot enough to actually do the cleaning work.
If a vehicle is only ever driven in short, cold trips, the cat may never fully heat up, and OXICAT cannot perform as intended. After adding a can, plan a longer continuous drive so the system reaches and holds operating temperature.
Who OXICAT Is For
Built for drivers who maintain the exhaust system before it becomes a problem.
City & stop-and-go drivers
Stop-and-go traffic and frequent idling create the soot and residue that OXICAT is engineered to address.
Short-trip commuters
Vehicles that rarely run hot enough on short trips can build up exhaust residue faster — a longer run with OXICAT helps reset that.
Older vehicles with mileage
Higher-mileage cars are more prone to gradual buildup. Periodic OXICAT use targets that buildup before it becomes costly.
Diesel drivers
Diesel engines exposed to soot-heavy operation can especially benefit from a regular preventive cleaner.
Pre-emissions-test maintenance
Used as a routine step before an emissions inspection, OXICAT helps reduce residue that contributes to test failures.
Workshops & DIY mechanics
A workshop-grade additive from CTP GmbH that fits cleanly into a routine preventive-service offering.
Maintenance, Not Repair
Set the right expectation before you buy.
OXICAT is not a substitute for a mechanic. If a catalytic converter is physically broken, melted, or clogged beyond recovery — or if oxygen sensors and exhaust components have failed mechanically or electronically — the vehicle needs proper inspection and repair. No additive can replace a damaged part.
What OXICAT can do is help reduce avoidable buildup before it becomes a larger problem. Regular use, on a healthy vehicle, supports a cleaner exhaust system and helps the components stay closer to their normal operating condition over time.

I use to sell this at the shop that I worked at and it works Great. With that being said if you are buying this to clear a code for a bad converter and not for preventative maintenence you have to do it shortly after the check engine light has come on. This will not work if the light has been on for months. I had very successful results by adding a can, filling with high test gas then using the second can with another tank of high test, then using your standard octane after. Highly recommend giving this a try. I saved my customers tons of $$ using this product
Laura SouthworthHad rough idle, misfire cylinder 3, would barely run. Added one can of OXICAT to the tank. Followed the instructions, drove on the freeway and about 60 miles in the truck was running smoothly and codes cleared. Around 1400 miles and still running smoothly. Definitely recommend.
john w tackettWork greats. It take about 50 mile and it will clean your cat. I have a 2008 Truck and it passes emissions every time.

MatthewEasy to use! On the 3rd day my check engine light went off and I was able to pass our state’s emissions test!
TiffanyProduct worked exceptionally well

Everything drivers usually want to know before trying OXICAT.
AUTOPROFI OXICAT is a German-made catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, and exhaust system cleaner designed for preventive vehicle maintenance. With regular use, it helps clean soot, carbon deposits, and residue from the exhaust system in gasoline and diesel vehicles.
OXICAT is engineered to clean the exhaust system, including areas affected by combustion residue, soot, and carbon buildup. It is commonly used to support the cleanliness of catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, turbocharger-related exhaust paths, and other emissions-related components.
OXICAT is suitable for both gasoline and diesel-fuel vehicles when used according to the product instructions. This makes it a practical maintenance product for a wide range of passenger cars, light-duty vehicles, and daily drivers.
No. OXICAT is not a repair product and should not be treated as a "mechanic-in-a-can." It is designed for preventive maintenance and cleaning support. If a catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, or exhaust component is physically damaged or has failed electronically, proper mechanical inspection may be required.
OXICAT works through decarbonizing technology that becomes effective when the catalytic converter reaches its required working temperature. The vehicle must be driven long enough and warm enough for the cleaner to activate properly inside the exhaust system.
The catalytic converter operates effectively only when it reaches a high enough temperature. OXICAT is designed to work under those real operating conditions, so short cold trips may not allow the product to perform as intended. A longer drive after use helps the formula do its job.
OXICAT is best used as part of a regular preventive maintenance routine. It is especially useful before emissions testing, after long periods of city driving, for vehicles with frequent short trips, or for older vehicles that may be more prone to exhaust system residue buildup.
Regular use of OXICAT may help reduce residue that can contribute to emissions-related problems. It cannot guarantee a passing test or fix mechanical faults, but it can be a useful preventive step for vehicles that need cleaner exhaust system operation.

It is German-made, TÜV certified, suitable for gasoline and diesel vehicles, easy to use, and designed for drivers who want preventive maintenance rather than last-minute repair promises.
A note on expectations
OXICAT is a preventive maintenance product, not a repair product. It is not designed to fix mechanically failed catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, or other damaged exhaust components. If a vehicle has active mechanical or electronic faults, a qualified workshop inspection may be required.
